What causes ganglion cysts?
The cause of ganglion cysts is currently unknown.
How is a ganglion cyst diagnosed?
- Physical exam
- Imaging if necessary:
- X-rays
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
How are ganglion cysts treated?
Treatment is typically not needed for ganglion cysts. In most cases, the cysts go away on their own.
