Advancing Research for Pediatric Obesity

Connecticut Children’s endocrinologists and psychologists conduct research in several areas of pediatric obesity, including:

  • The traits of food addiction in obese adolescents
  • The role of pain in obesity
  • The PCOS psychosocial study
  • The role of self-monitoring in adolescent weight management

Research findings are presented at an array of conferences including the American Psychological Association Annual Convention and the International Conference on Eating Disorders. This research has also been shared as part of Connecticut Children’s pediatric grand rounds.
