Clotting Disorder Treatment

Connecticut Children’s provides specialized care to children and young adults with thrombosis and thrombophilia, including deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and other clotting disorders. Our team of hematologists, interventional radiologists, social workers and nurses work together to ensure that patients receive the best care.

Our multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists provides comprehensive services for children with clotting disorders, including accurate diagnoses, an array of treatment options and extensive patient education. We also provide consultation and counseling to children who may be at risk for bleeding and clotting diseases due to family history or other factors.

Sickle Cell Pulmonary Clinic

Connecticut Children’s is one of the few centers to offer a sickle cell pulmonary clinic.
