Hartford, CT — September 21, 2023 — Connecticut Children’s is proud to announce that Sarah Matney, MSOL, BSN, RN, CPON, CENP, Senior Vice President, Clinical Services, and Chief Nursing Officer, has been named to Becker’s “Chief Nursing Officers to Know” list for 2023.

With a career at Connecticut Children’s spanning over two decades, Sarah Matney has held diverse roles within nursing and clinical operations, illustrating her versatile skill set and deep-rooted commitment to providing exceptional healthcare. Matney’s steadfast leadership and continuous efforts in patient and family experience, quality improvement, and safety standards have significantly contributed to the organization’s success.

Having obtained her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University School of Business and a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College, Matney holds certifications as an Executive Nurse Practitioner (CENP) and a Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON©).
