Sherene Mason, MD, MBA, is Division Head of Nephrology and Medical Director of Dialysis and Pheresis. She has a strong interest in congenital abnormalities of the kidney and urinary tract, mechanisms underlying acute and chronic kidney disease, and renal transplantation.  She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Mason completed her pediatric residency, a year as Chief Resident, and a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at Yale University School of Medicine. During her fellowship, Dr. Mason completed research examining pathways important in renal tubular repair following renal injury. She was awarded the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology Fellow’s Research Award in Basic Science for her work.

Dr. Mason is by far the best provider I have ever interacted with. She talks to my daughter (the patient) throughout the appointment and always makes sure that we understand lab results, etc.
