Dr. Lainwala is the director of the regional neonatal neurodevelopmental follow-up program at Connecticut Children’s. She is also the founder and chair of the NICU nutritional care and research group. Dr. Lainwala is actively involved in initiatives in the NICU to improve the nutrition and growth of preterm infants. Her research interests include studying nutrition and growth of preterm infants in the NICU and the long-term growth and developmental outcomes of preterm and sick infants.
