Dr. Bookland’s practice covers the breadth of pediatric neurosurgical diseases, including congenital, oncologic, epileptic, vascular, spinal, and traumatic pathologies. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive treatments for craniofacial disorders, hydrocephalus, and ventricular and skull base brain tumors.

Dr. Bookland comes to Connecticut Children’s from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Hospitals where he completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery with Emory University. Prior to this, he concluded a residency in neurosurgery at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Bookland graduated with his Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University and earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Bookland is board certified in Neurosurgery. His special areas of interest include research in both Neurocritical Care and Neuro-Oncology.
